Glittery Nails

Even though at the moment my nails are really short and badly in need of a good file, I still really enjoy painting them and trying out new things. For me this isn't really a new way of doing my nails, but I hadn't used this combination of polishes before and I just thought I'd show you them, as I really liked how they turned out!

At the moment I am trying to grow my nails, when it's not the holidays I try and keep them short for basketball and stuff, but as it's summer time, I really want them long so I can try some nail arty things, even though I'll probably suck at it! I'm very bad at filing my nails, I just get really impatient and can't be bothered doing them well. So, I think when they've grown to a good length, I'll go and get them filed square.
So that's just a bit about my nails at the moment, now onto the glittery nails that I just did!

I started off with the Boots Natural Collection Clear Nail Varnish as a base coat, it's nothing special but it didn't cost me much. Then I painted my nails with this polish from Maybelline which is called Pink Boom (262). It's part of their 'Colour Show" collection which features loads of bright colours, I got this pink one as a birthday present.
I only applied one coat which looked fine but maybe two would've made it even bolder. I then finished the look with one of Rimmel's Lasting Finish Varnishes in Disco Ball (500), which I also got as a present. I love the colours of glitter in it.

I really love the finished look and I hope you do too, please leave a comment if you did!

Summer Wishlist!

So these are some items that I've been lusting after. For summer I plan to live in dresses, styled down with trainers, or my JuJu's. I love these two and the Motel playsuit and I think they would be perfect for what I'm looking for. I also really want this tee for wearing with my denim shorts and vans, I really like Studded Petals t-shirts, theres loads that I could buy!
I'm in LOVE with these doc sandaly things, they're a perfect alternative to wearing my JuJu's and I doubt many people I know will have them, they're quite pricey for me though...

If I do purchase any of these items, I'll be sure to feature them in an OOTD or a lookbook, I have made an order from Topshop so I'll be showing you what I bought soon! Maybe in a lookbook with some rediscovered pieces of mine.

So that's it from me. It's 26 degrees today which is roasting for Scotland, I'm currently inside writing this listening to Zane Lowe, I really love listening to his radio shows,  it's nice and cool inside so I'm quite happy.

This weekend coming is T in the Park! Totally wish I was going, and I wished I was at Glasto aswell, maybe in years to come...
Oh and before I go, a huge congratulations to Andy Murray for beating Novak Djokovic yesterday and winnine Wimbledon! You totally deserve it babe, so proud to be Scottish.

Johnnieb Spring 2013 Favourites!

It's that time again when my Johnnieb catalogue comes through and I end up lusting over all of the lovely clothes! Today I thought I'd share with you some of my favourite pieces from this collection, enjoy!

1. Ankle Grazers- £26- £30

I love these because they could be dressed up or down, and make a nice change from your average skinny jeans. I would keep it simple up top though, maybe a jumper or simple shirt/ t-shirt? It's been styles really well in the catalogue...

2. Stripy Boatneck- £14- £16

I'm going to order this as soon as it comes back in stock! I think it's a staple top that everyone should have. It could go with so many things and comes in lots of other colour combos. I want all of them! This top would be brilliant to layer with, as shown in the catalogue.

3. Chambray T-shirt- £22- £26

This is quite expensive but I think it's such a nice thing to have. It's very different and I know I have nothing like this in my wardrobe. It would look nice with disco pants or a skirt like the one below and  I'm about to show you.

4. Button Skirt- £24- £28

This skirt comes in two different colours along with a retro sunglasses print. Dress this up or down for when it's warm or cold!

Fifties Dress- £32- £36

I love this dress! The sunglasses print is very cute and different. It also comes a polka dot print and would be perfect for holidays! Whether your in the city or at a beach this would catch people's attention for the right reasons.

Pull-ons- £22- £26

Just like my last post on Johnnieb, these pull-ons are one of my favourites. They even come in an adorable hot-air balloon print. Sadly, it's sold out. These are perfect for snuggling up by the tv or on the couch to read a magazine, which is what I'm about to do!
I've got my jammies on just now and I' about to curl up with VOGUE that my mum bought me. Cara Delevingne's on the cover so I'm very excited. I mean, who doesn't love her!

I hope you enjoyed this, please comment as I'd love to hear what you have to say! To buy these items and have a look at the whole collection, visit the Johnnieb website HERE!

New Shoes!

Happy February, I hope you all enjoyed my last post. I really enjoyed planning it!

So, since December is well and truly behind us (sadly), I have been looking for some flat shoes for wearing to school.
I have been currently wearing my black biker boots from gap but I'd like some easy flats that I can slip on and off while still staying on my feet. Before Christmas I had an incident where a previous pair of flats came off my feet as I climbed the stairs going to maths, I don't fancy that happening again...

I've been looking on the Office website and I've found a couple of pairs I like, but I need opinions! I'll show you both pairs and then please comment what pair you prefer, it would make me happy.

Pair 1: Buy HERE
These are £60.00 and I really like them. They are leather, so would be good for the unpredictable weather and they wouldn't come off on the stairs, but they might make my feet look huge! (size eight clown feet)

Pair 2: Buy HERE

These are £58.00. They are nice and simple which I like, and they'd be so easy to slip on, they seem quite thin leather though. Would they stay nice like in the picture?

Pair 3: Buy HERE
These are £65.00 and I think they are my favourite looking out of the bunch though they are the most expensive. The sole seems quite practical too! These might be a bit uncomfortable to start with though...

So that's the three pairs that I like, please let me know your opinions! Also, I'd love if you could put your blog names below, I'd like to follow some more.

SURPRISE PAIR! Buy HERE
These are totally impractical for school but I couldn't not show you guys! They are so beautiful but sadly £130.00. Damn you Mr Campbell!

One last thing, please follow me on Instagram if you haven't already! I'm @__floraa x

Love to Layer!

Hello! Happy Burns Day! Even though it was yesterday, anyway...

Where I live we've been hit with the snow, just like loads of places in the UK at the moment, sadly my school wasn't closed though. :( After I post this I'm going sledging with my lovely friends, I'm so excited haha, we haven't had snow like this in two years!

So when the weather's like this I like to layer up all of my outfits as it looks cute and quirky but I still keep really warm! I thought I'd share with you how I layer my looks, I hope you enjoy! As a side note, sorry for the bad camera work, I'm working on it! All of these pics were on my mum's iPhone as my camera was out of battery, me being unorganised as usual!

No.1: I find one of the best ways to layer is just popping a basic shirt under everything! It gives off a really cute, preppy look. I love the shirt underneath this stripy dress. It's a tad short so I wear thick ribbed tights. Its still the middle of January so I've still got my Christmas beanie on. I think it makes the outfit look more relaxed.

No. 2: If I fancy a change I'll add a jumper on top of the dress and shirt, I actually prefer the outfit with the extra layer. I like how the jumper kind of cuts the dress off at the wrong place as it looks a bit different. To keep me cozy I added my parka jacket from a couple of years ago. I wear this all the time because it has a really warm lining and cozy fur hood!
Dress: Johnnieb @Boden // Shirt: School shop // Tights: H&M // Jumper: Jack Wills // Parka: Topshop // Hat: Primark //Doc Martens // Socks: Tiso

No. 3: This is another shirt and dress combo, I've kept the same shirt but I've put my mossy green, speckled dress on. I bought this dress in a bigger size so that it's really slouchy. This outfit is quite casual so when I go out (example: out for dinner) I'd add my leather jacket. It adds an edginess and more dressed up look which I love! As a head accessory I put on my knitted headband which I'm in love with, one of my favourite christmas presents.
Dress: Topshop // Leather Jacket // Shirt: as before // Headband: Jack Wills

No. 4: This is the most causal outfit. I think the colour of the jumper, and the purple jeans go really nice together and the jumper is quite bright so the white shirt looks good under it to tone the look down a bit. Again, the parka keeps me cozy and is perfect when I go out for walks- the perfect time to wear this outfit! Do you like my brooch? It says "Don't Forget" on it and is made from completely recycled materials! Sadly I can;t remember the name of the company that made it..
Shirt: as before // Jumper: Primark // Jeans: Topshop // Socks: as before // Docs: as before // Headband: as before // Jacket: as before

Get to know me!

THE POST I SOPKE ABOUT IN MY LAST POST

I'm going to make some changes, for one I will try and blog once a week at least. I'm also going to try and show my outfits more, on my old blog I used to never be bothered to show them, oddly enough though it's OOTD posts that are my favourite and I'm going to start by writing posts that I'd enjoy reading. If more people come to join the party then I will blog about things that we will all enjoy! I hope that's okay.

So, here are some factoids about me:

1. My first name is Flora and my middle name is Bella, I love my name though it does bring up a lot of references to butter. You'll either get that or you won't.

2. I am 14 years old on the 11th of May. Woopwoop!

3. In relation to the last fact, I am 5ft 8. Which is extremely tall for my age but it's really good! I can get up to the tallest shelf in my workshop class and everybody thinks I'm 18. I also have size 8 feet, I'm a blooming giant...

4. I'm a basketball player and  I have trials for the National Squad in March, I'm a bit nervous...

5. Tumblr is one of my many obsessions. http://floflo-florab.tumblr.com < followers welcome!

6. I like One Direction. My favourite songs are Kiss You, What Makes You Beautiful and I have a soft spot for Harry, I'll leave a little picture for you...

7. My favourite blogs to read are FashionRocksMySocks, and SheWearsFashion. I highly recommend you check them out.

8. I am currently reading The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Steven Chbosky. So far I'm really enjoying it.

9. Flowers are all over a lot of my things, maybe it's because of my name and flowers are just planted into my brain, see what I did there?

10. I have no idea what I want to do when I leave school but I would love to be a model. Wouldn't it just be amazing? I'm not sure if that'll happen though.

I hope you enjoyed this, please follow my blog if you did!

This really makes me smile :) Bye!
