Music:
These are pictures of two of my favourite songs on my Spotify playlist. I've been loving Darwin Deez and Hot Chip's new album (I bough it for my dad for Father's day!) In particular, Radar Detector and Flutes. Go on, have a listen to the songs!

Last summer these books by Sarah Dessen were my favourite reads, I couldn't take my nose out of them when I was away camping.  Now that Summers back, I decided to start reading Just Listen again. Sarah Dessen is a great author and I have 3 of her books. Just Listen, The Truth about Forever and Along for the Ride. (I can't find Along for the Ride and I'm upset about it!)

How I do my nails?

Helloo,
Since I'm a bit of a nail polish freak and I like my nails to look good I decided to pre-plan a post (which is unusual for me) and save it for a rainy day. Today is actually sunny but I was stuck on what to post so I thought why not?

I thought maybe you'd like to see what colours I've been using for my nails over the last few months and other things like what I do to stop them from chipping and some of my attempted "nail art". I do not currently own any nail art tools so at the moment I make do with kirbies dipped in nail polish!

For the past wee while I've been taking a picture of my nails after I paint them, so that I can put together an instagram post of what colours I've been using. Sometimes I'm holding the nail polish bottle and sometimes I'm not so I'll just list the names of the colours anyway.

Colour Works London Pink & Barry M 317 Blue Moon // Claire's Accessories (doesn't have a name, sorry!) & Glitter // Natural Collection Cosmic Crush and Barry M 320 Foil Effects // Jubilee Nails! Blue Moon, Colour Works London Red & White polish without a name // Blue Moon and Barry M 308 Berry Ice-Cream // Colour Works Red // Random white polish // Barry M Foil Effects // Berry Ice-Cream // Barry M Peach Melba

To stop my nails from chipping and also to give them shine I use this top coat. It's 2true and it says it can last for up to 5 days but only if you apply two coats, I use this as a base coat as well because I can't be bothered going to buy a specific base coat. In my mind it's just a clear nail varnish and can be used for both under and over painted nails. This top coat can be found in Superdrug and it isn't very expensive. When I do my nails I always use a base and top coat and since I paint my nails so often my clear nail varnish gets used up quite quickly, therefore I tend to stick to the cheap ones.

I hope you found this interesting, if you like this post I'd love it if you clicked that wee follow button! x

Trip to the Shops!

So as you know t'was my birthday last month and I had some birthday money to spend. The weather where I live started off nice so me and my mum went for a trip to the shops with my friend Tilly and her mum.

Tilly was mostly shopping for her holiday clothes as was I but she's off abroad so knew that the weather where she was going would to be hot, I'm not going anywhere and British weather is very unpredictable so I didn't buy a lot, just a few bits and bobs and the pair of plimmies which I love!

There was one shop that we went into that sold lovely things at really great prices, I picked up two rings that were only £1 each, brilliant right? They're both adjustable which is good because I seem to have really big fingers! One is a scrabble piece and they other has a rose on it! I also bought a little bag with a really nice print on it that I'm going to take to put my lunch in for school, for my little packed lunches! As I was paying I noticed two things for your hair- a lily and a little hat (I thought it would look funky with a messy bun)

When I go shopping I do normally pop into Jack Wills, I do like the shop but it's so expensive! When I was in though I saw a lot of nice things, one of which were a pair of floral plimsoles. I really wanted some new converse as my current ones are a disaster but I didn't want to spend the normal price of converse. You might think why did you go into Jack Wills then but I wasn't expecting to find shoes. I decided to buy them because they were £20 which I thought was good for JW. I can't wait to wear them with simple dresses and my jeans!

We also went out for lunch which was lovely, I had a great time! x

Lush Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly

Today I'm going to do a review which I've never done before. I want to do more posts like this so let me know if you'd like that too!
In May it was my birthday, I was going to do a birthday post but I thought maybe it's a bit late now? If you'd like me to do one then tell me in the comments.
For my birthday my lovely friend gave me a goodie bag with lots of lovely things in it, the shower jelly was one of them, I loved it so much I just had to share it with you!

If I walked into Lush intending to treat myself, I wouldn't normally go for this type of product so I'm so glad I was given it. I love the smell of this product, it says on the tub "Cherries, coconut, jelly and sparkles- this is a party in a pot." In my opinion though, it smells like black currents! Theres not a hint of cherry or coconut for me when I smell this product but I'm not complaining! When I first opened it my eyes lit up to a rich purple coloured jelly crammed full of little glitters, it made me so excited to use it!

I had it in my head that you just scooped bits out when you use it in the shower but in fact, it's one massive jelly that you rub all over yourself. It created lots of soapy bubbles and made my skin smell and feel lovely and glittery, it felt so soft! After I rinsed it off and got out of the shower the smell remained as if I was still covered in the soapy black current bubbles which I loved.

Since then I've used it a lot and the jelly itself shows no sign of ever getting smaller, I can imagine it's going to last me for a while, yay! It also says on the pot that it's vegan so everybody can use it, it's all round amazing!

I would love to get more of these shower jellies and it says on the pot that if you bring back 5 clean full-size Lush pots or tubes you get one fresh face mask for free which is brilliant!

I hope I haven't babbled on too much and I hope you enjoyed this review, let me know if you'd enjoy more! x
